Due to recent growth, we are looking for a full-time, on-site, accountant manager in the areas of taxation and audits with the following qualifications:
- 5+ years in public accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Thorough knowledge of public accounting and corporate finance practices, principles, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations and laws, regulations, and compliance requirements for high-net worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Preparation and review of complex individual income, gift tax and estate tax returns.
- Preparation and review of complex tax returns for business entities including consolidated and nonconsolidated C-corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships Fiduciary and Non-Profit Organizations.
- Preparation and review of complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability.
- Strong understanding of the preparation of financial statements, business and income tax worksheets and computations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
- Self-motivated to work independently and balance workload within time constraints.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex tax issues and provide innovative solutions.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Positive, friendly presence and team-oriented mindset.
- Strong technical tax preparation skills including a strong knowledge of Lacerte, QuickBooks and Thomson Reuters CS products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Navigate through tax issues and stay ahead of IRS changes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial material.
